MEET THE STAFF

Robert B. Knox, M.D.

Fort Smith ? 3000 Rogers Ave.

Dr. Knox, an ophthalmologist, is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has been in practice since 1992. He is a graduate of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.Dr. Knox completed a residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Department of Ophthalmology, where he won the Raymond and Mary Morris Annual Ophthalmology Resident Award. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the Arkansas Ophthalmological Society and the Arkansas Medical Society.

Dr. Knox and his wife have five children and are actively involved in the First United Methodist Church. He enjoys all outdoor activities including golf, mountain biking, and snow skiing.

Claire B. Price, M.D.

Dr. Price, an ophthalmologist, received her undergraduate degree from Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe and her medical degree from the University Of Arkansas College Of Medicine in Little Rock, where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed an internship and an ophthalmology residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. During her training, she received numerous awards including the Raymond and Mary Morris Annual Ophthalmology Resident Award, Outstanding Neuroscience Student, and the Horace Margin Microanatomy Award.

She has been in practice since 1994. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, served as Secretary of the Sebastian County Medical Society, and clinical instructor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the AHEC in Fort Smith. She has also served as Chief of Staff at Sparks Regional Medical Center, and was the past President of the Arkansas Ophthalmological Society.

She and her husband have two children who are involved in soccer, basketball, and theatre. She is actively involved in the First United Methodist Church and Parent Teacher Organizations. She greatly enjoystraveling and participating in her children?s activities.

Blake N. Geren, M.D.

Dr. Geren is a native of Harrison, AR, and he received his medical degree from the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences (UAMS) campus in Little Rock, AR. After completing an internal medicine hospital internship at UAMS in Little Rock, he completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) Eye Foundation.

Dr. Geren is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and the Arkansas Ophthalmological Society.

He sees general ophthalmology patients with a focus on cataract surgery, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and disorders of the eyelids. Dr. Geren has had the privilege of participating in missionary eye care, and he looks forward to pursuing this in the future. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, golf, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

RANDEL L. SAYLOR, M.D.

Fort Smith - 500 North 6th Street

Dr. Saylor, an ophthalmologist, comes to the Eye Group from Hutchinson, Kansas, where he had practiced comprehensive ophthalmology since 1985. He received his undergraduate degree from Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana, and his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana. After a year-long internship at St. Mary?s Medical Center in Evansville, Indiana, Dr. Saylor completed a three-year residency at the Indiana University Hospitals Department of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Saylor is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and is a member of the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons, the Arkansas Ophthalmological Association, and the Arkansas Medical Society.

Michael W. Linimon, O.D.

Fort Smith - 500 North 6th Street

Dr. Linimon, an optometrist, attended Westark Community College and received his bachelor of science degreee in physiological optics and doctor of optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. He practiced in the U.S. Air Force before returning to his home town of Fort Smith. He later completed an ocular therapeutics program at the University of Missouri - St. Louis School of Optometry. He has been in practice in Fort Smith for more than forty years. He enjoys stream fishing and playing tennis.

Sam B. Bradley, O.D.

Dr. Bradley, an optometrist, attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro and received his doctor of optometry from Southern College of Optometry. He was a member of the Sigma Alpha Sigma Optometric Honor Society. He completed an ocular therapeutics program through the Pennsylvania College off Optometry. He is a member of the Arkansas Optometric Association.

Steven B. Stiles, O.D., F.A.A.O.

Dr. Stiles, an optometrist, attended Hendrix College in Conway, AR and received his optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. He completed an externship at the Gesell Institute of Child Development New Haven, CT. and post graduate studies at Lighthouse for the Visually Impaired in Houston, TX. Dr. Stiles is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a former director of the Arkansas Optometric Association Board.

Joseph F. Followell, O.D

Dr. Followell, an optometrist, is a hometown doctor who was raised in Muldrow, Oklahoma. He graduated fromMuldrow High School and received his Associate of Arts degree from the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith. He received his Bachelor of Science degree at Northeastern State University and was conferred the Doctor of Optometry degree in May of 2007 from Northeeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry.

Dr. Followell has training in contact lens fitting, anterior segment laser procedures, and diagnosis and treatment of many ocular conditions. He also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Northeastern State University College of Optometry (NSUOCO). He is a member of the American Optometric Association, as well as a member of both the Arkansas and Oklahoma state associations.

Jean M. Medlock, O.D.

Dr. Medlock, an optometrist, received her undergraduate and optometric degrees from the University of Houston. Dr. Medlock is the Executive Director of the Southwest Council of Optometry, a six state regional education congress. She is vice-president of the Board of Directors of Stepping Stone School for handicapped children, president of the Board of Directors of Cedar Ridge - a ten bed independent living facility for mentally handicapped adults, and an elder at the Central Presbyterian Church.
